Former Russian president Dimitry Medvedev has strike out at France’s finance minister Bruno Le Maire right after he claimed that Europe was waging economic war from Russia.

“We will carry about the collapse of the Russian economic climate,” Le Maire told the Franceinfo broadcaster immediately after France, the EU and other western governments explained they would impose a new spherical of sanctions on Moscow.

But Medvedev, who is deputy chair of the Russian Stability Council, responded on Twitter that these rhetoric could have major repercussions.
